About the speakers
Leonard Hall (Workshop Coordinator)
Leonard studied at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nanotechnology (Honours Class 1) and a Diploma in Innovation Management. Leonard has been a member of UNSW Professional Speakers Toastmasters since 2007. He has coordinated a number of public speaking workshops, presented at seminars at UNSW, and competed in public speaking contests. Leonard has given professional presentations to CEOs, marketing managers, and technical teams in industry leading Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies. Leonard’s interests include film editing and production, stand-up comedy, and dancing.
Jim Chuang (Educations Officer)
Jim graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours Class 1 and University Medal) and a Bachelor of Science. He previously held research and teaching posts at the same university. Currently, Jim holds membership with Toastmasters International, a leading organisation in communication and leadership development. He also conducts presentation skills workshops regularly and occasionally presents at high schools around NSW. In both 2008 and 2009, Jim competed in Toastmasters’ International Speech Contest. Out of over 5,000 members and 250 Toastmasters Clubs in NSW and ACT, Jim was placed in the top 16 speakers in both years. Jim’s interests include reading books, basketball, and martial arts.
